Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928), a Scottish architect, designer, water colourist and artist, was one on the most important Art Nouveau representatives. Mackintosh combined magnificently slender curves, soft opalescent colors, clean vibrant geometric frameworks and stylized distortions.
